Will first-timers manage the dances?
Absolutely. Garry calls every dance clearly and warmly, so even complete beginners are up and dancing within minutes. No experience needed.
Do you provide a DJ as well as the band?
Yes — every package includes a full DJ service alongside the live ceilidh, so there’s music from the first guest to the last. No need to book a DJ separately.
Can you do our first dance and take requests?
Yes to both. We’ll happily learn your first dance, and we welcome a request list for the DJ sets — we read the room all night long.
How far do you travel?
All across Scotland and into northern England. Travel is free within 100 miles of Perth. Further afield, we add a fair contribution for the band’s mileage, travel time and any overnight stay — always clearly quoted up front, with no surprises.
Do you offer a midweek rate?
Yes — midweek weddings and parties (Monday to Thursday) enjoy a reduced rate on the band package. Tell us your date when you check availability and we’ll factor it into your quote.
Are peak dates like Hogmanay priced differently?
High-demand dates — Hogmanay, the festive season, Burns Night and bank-holiday weekends — book up early and are priced accordingly. Check your date as soon as you can to secure it.
What space and power do you need?
Roughly a 3m × 3m area for the band plus a couple of standard sockets. We’ll talk through your venue’s setup when you book.
How do we secure our date?
Pick your date and we’ll confirm availability within hours. A £250 deposit then holds it exclusively for you — and it comes off your final total.
Is your equipment safety-tested?
Yes — all of our equipment is PAT-tested every year, and we can provide the paperwork for your venue on request.
