Three dates in the Scottish year are fixed, and which weekday they land on decides how hard they are to book. Here is how 2026 falls.

Easter weekend 2026

Easter moves, which catches people out when they are planning a year or two ahead. In 2026 Good Friday is 3 April, Easter Saturday is 4 April and Easter Sunday is 5 April.

That four-day weekend is one of the most requested of the year and for a good reason: guests who have to travel can do it without taking leave, which lifts attendance noticeably.
